What phone have you got ?
A Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
This one seems to be a slightly different version, or it has been pre used as there are loads of downloaded games and hardly any ringtones, alarm tones, and notification tones. Also the calendar is different.

It also decided to delete all my sim card contacts during set up so I have lost all my numbers!:cursing:
I managed to bluetooth the numbers from my spare phone but they are incomplete as I haven't updated it recently, at least since I have been ill. I only have about half the numbers I had and a load I don't use any more. I don't even know most of whom I don't have numbers for any more. Some are important, services I access while ill, etc.

Oh boo!

I can give you all the various St Nicks contacts you might have lost, I guess that's only a few people though...

in that case you could sync your contacts and calender to Google so you don't lose them again.
That's one thing I didn't want Google to have access to.

The old phone wouldn't allow me to set it up without giving it a google account. This one seems to have set up without asking.

The annoying thing is that I am used to losing my calendar and my sms messages from previous phones. However, they all allowed me to access my contacts only from my sim and none have ever deleted my sim as part of the set up. I can't find any way of moving contacts to and from the sim and when I asked it to access my sim for my contacts it deleted everything and then said there was nothing there!

That would be good, thank you.
I will also need to figure out who else I need to ask.

I'm assuming most of the health related numbers will be online, somewhere.

Various York folk, Spandex and I will have between us.

It'll get sorted.

It was good when I got my new phone, coz I 'lost' a load of numbers that were on the old one, which used to belong to my sister. It always confused me when it rang and the display said "ME", until I remembered that meant her!
