The shytiest Garmin computer by far. I've given up on mine as the battery life in winter is literally nothing. So gone back to the ever reliable 500. It lasts over 2 weeks of commutes. The 130 not even an hour.
I have actually bought a new, uprated battery for the 130, just need to get someone who's good at that type of thing to swap over.

It's a shame, as it was handy not having to link up to the computer to download rides. As I said, one day I'll get round to fitting a (better) replacement battery.

Yes seen those people, however I don't want a like for like battery change. The one I bought has a higher capacity.

just watched a couple of videos , seems you have to disassemble from the front working back so a lot more hassle than doing the old 200/500/ 800 batteries which i have done in the past .

I've got an edge 510 which I bought for a tenner off eBay. Does it have a replaceable battery? I just assumed mine was a 'built-in' battery, recharged via USB.

Back to heated gloves for the commute to the Station this morning. Annoyingly, a taxi driver decided to do a u turn in front of me on quite a tight and twisty residential road that I can often cycle through faster than a car. I thought for a moment they were going to let me through but I think they were oblivious of my presence and swung over to block the road again.

Had a conversation with an hgv driver today on the way home from Macclesfield. He started with "I know you lot complain about close passes from us" I said no normally hgv drivers are pretty good with a really professional attitude. That stumped him. Then he said you should really wear high vis as he had difficulty seeing me. At which point I mentioned I wasn't wearing all black, I had a white helmet, white shoes, green jacket and a strobing rear light with a brake function making it glow bright and steady when braking. He didn't seem to know what to say apart from I only saw your orange bottle and I've been driving for 40 years. I was tempted to say you probably need an eye test but thought better of it.🤔

I guess you were both stopped at the lights or something, right? I don't mind interactions like this as long as they remain convivial.
