Managed to get a bit early out, first hill of the year and magnificent sunset.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Just rode home with a good frost in the air so a tad chilly , some turnip had stuck a road works sign right across the cycle path which i didnt see till the last second as the oncoming traffic meant i didnt see it so i ended up taking a CX detour onto the frosty grass verge and thankfully stayed upright .
A bit further down i came across another one of these pesky signs but i was ready for it and as i passed the workmen i told them exactly what i thought of the sign placement which might have involved some choice language .

Surprisingly busy on the roads for a Friday (the train is empty but I am 10mins early). At a guess I was overtook by/ encountered 10 drivers, the vast majority gave me plenty of space or demonstrated courtesy (even when they didn't need to). Except for the driver behind the wheel of the white AMG who immediately squeezed through an almost non existent gap much to the anger of the oncoming driver!

I've been avoiding the Brompton because of the Freewheel problems which make it effectively a multi gear fixie, if that's possible. I've booked workshop time on Monday and I've been using the tourer, but I didn't want to pay another 6€ for a peak time bike ticket today. The Brompton is ridable, with care, but not fast...

One of those had me face down a couple of years ago. So well done for staying upright.

Last night's hard frost had blown away by this morning. Cold wind with an edge but above 0. Dawn has shifted fully across my commute now so I'm riding in full daylight, and getting much closer in the evenings too.
