Missed the rain on the way in this morning, but colder than I expected. Forecast had been for about 5-6C, but it was actually down to 1C for about half the ride. Roads pretty wet, and it is raining outside now.

Last day of the quiet half term roads. Much more enjoyable riding. Threw the rainlegs on when the shower started, by the time I was back on the bike it had stopped and remained dry for the ride. Distinctly colder than recently.

Did a stupid thing today. Arrived at work and didn't get changed into work clothes straight away. I pulled my buff up from under my chin and left it on my head like a bandana whilst getting stuck into some complicated documents. An hour later and my hair looks like this. Good job no online or in person meetings!

ALMOST came off the bike this morning as I tried to come off the road and onto an adjacent cycle path via a lowered kerb...front wheel was "too parallel" to the kerb and I should've angled the front wheel a lot more.

Somehow managed to regain balance but it was scary for a bit!!!

On the way back from the city, waiting for the lights to change and a car in the queue was nearly clouted by a twat who pulled out from the kerbside space without bothering to indicate. About half a mile up the road, the same car nearly hit a pedestrian who was so engrossed in her cellphone that she just walked out in front of him without bothering to look.
Not a great day for said driver - !

Me too, painful fall too since you land on your side/hip bone. Not sure if there is a way to mitigate risk when traversing parallel surfaces except try to create more of an angle for the front wheel. Maybe try lifting the front wheel slightly.

5:30 am, 3.0 Degrees, and lad (?) sat on grass, fast asleep. Tried to wake them to see if he was OK, but they carried on snoring away. Should I have shaken them to make sure they're OK. They had multiple coats on, hoody up so I couldn't see their face, but what to do? Eventually I just carried on, taking the sign that they were snoring as a good sign. But, I don't know, feel bad for making sure they weren't actually OK.

An unremarkable journey today - bit cold again but mostly sunny, clear and thankfully dry. Wrapped up well and left the house with the nice warm core that comes from restricted carb intake and suggests you're burning some fat.

Took it steady due to last week's excursions and limited energy, supposed to have a tailwind but it didn't much feel like it - quite the opposite as I reached the end of the journey.

Wind, wind and more damned windy. It was windy this morning.
I was kept awake during the night by the wind and heavy rain but thankfully the rain had cleared off by the time I commuted in to work. O yes, little chilly too.

Lot of rough sleepers about.
