Tyre swap again today (wheels). Damp, windy and grim out, so at least the faster rolling slicks helped.

Dodgy e-cruiser in the parking again - may have to check out what work's policy is having dodgy home brew e-motorbikes parked in the cycle parking within a car park - we had a dirty diesel car go up in flames a few months ago, never mind a dodgy e-bike.

Ugh nasty dark wet and cold this morning, but it's our office Christmas quiz after work, plus a charity bake sale, and Christmas Jumper day. So the office is rammed and I knew both traffic on the way and parking would be pretty bad. I got lucky it was just a light drizzle all the way and then properly tipped down 15 mins after I got here, but I'm expecting a very wet ride home!

nasty headwind all the way home and absolutely chucking it down, i wore 2 rain coats and i was still soaked to the skin .

That why they invented the motor car

After arriving at work with ice on my socks yesterday I’m glad I drove today. Weather is looking better tomorrow so might take the bike, feels like I’ve only just recovered from the cold commuter 24hrs ago.

Quite a pleasant commute in this morning, although dark for almost all of it now. Temperature never dropped below 7C, little wind, and avoided the rain which has swept through since I got in. And not too much traffic anywhere.

Waiting a set of traffic lights with a twat in a Ford SUV in front of me, but straddling both lanes; L/H one left turn only, R/H one turn right only. SUV not indicating, but there was room for me to get past on it's left, but I erred to caution and waited until the lights went green.
Just as well I did, as the SUV promptly turned left.

Saw a two-car crash. The third crash I've seen this year involving an Audi that always seems to be on the other side of the road and pointing the wrong way. This was was outside a school.

Idk what happened but I will jump to he conclusion that the person in the Audi was being an peanut (and I rather Dislike it when people pick on certain car brands but there you go).

So while I hung around (away from the numerous emergency service vehicles), I said a silent prayer to hope everyone was ok (yes, even the idiot, for he may have learned something).

The rest of the commute was fine and it was surprisingly mild after the last week of freezing days. I wanted to take the muscle bike but the e-bike won over with it's effortless cruising and no-need-to-shower-thus-saving-even-more-time suitability (read more about it in the commuting forum).

Looking forward to the ride home although may take a detour and/or long way home which will turn out to be 18 miles rather than 12.

Happy riding everyone, stay safe.

EDIT! Hold on a second: I forgot to say thanks to my vigilance, I avoided being knocked over by a young car driver. Another idiot.
AND...
A short while later, also due to my vigilance, I avoided a cyclist crashing into me. Another idiot.
