Reckon the marathon ride will be a little early for me as I have a 60 miler planned for Saturday. So given London will be busy I will most likley head for the hills of Kent.

If anyone wants to join please give me a shout !

Hmmm. I doubt I'll do the super early start. However, I can confirm that the norty Limehouse Link surprise is really rather fun. I may go and have a play around there anyway so might bump into you lot.

Meet on the north side of the roundabout on Prince Charles Road on Blackheath http://tinyurl.com/bqs3xmx at 06:15 for an 06:30 departure.
Ride the route of the marathon on roads closed to traffic from 07:00.
Cross the finishing line on the Mall sometime before 09:00, go for breakfast somewhere in Southwark.
Anywhere in the proximity of the marathon is generally a zoo and unrideable after 09:00.
I'll not be doing this if it's raining.....
crikey - this is a pretty genius idea

I have just returned from said roundabout (and some hills) and can confirm that everything is shaping up nicely for Sunday morning.....

User10571, I can't be 100% sure of making the marathon reconnaissance ride start so would it be ok just to turn up, either in time for the start or at the 7 mile mark (aka the end of my street) without a ''booking?''

I don't really do the 'rules' thing - so just turn up. it'll be fine...

I'm not going to make the London Marathon ride tomorrow. I'm still making my way back after an eventful FNRttC and the chances of me getting up at 5.30am tomorrow are pretty close to zero. Have a good one!
