List of my solutions -
1. Let Musk dig a canal underneath the canal
2. Float it with ping pong balls
3. Use magnets Jesse Pinkman style
4. fark the ship and moor it on one bank
5. Call Fitzcarraldo

We're saved! The Americans have offered to help!

Ok, as usual they're late to the party, but they do look dashing in those uniforms and they have good supplies of ladies nylons and cigarettes.
Americans in the Middle East. What could possibly go wrong?

The Suez canal is pretty straight though, it might be worth a try.

A couple of problems I can foresee.

The Ever Given is stuck from bank to bank, so you can't hammer past it, neither is it wide enough for the refloating vessel to do a U-turn.

Freeing the impaled pointy part of the bow from the mud looks a step forward.

I wonder if it might be possible to drag she ship out backwards and slightly to one side to make space at the other bank.

I have a feeling that this problem could be solved with enough explosives. It's only a hunch but I'm willing to give it a go.

In the days before sky-high stacked containers I think they would have transferred enough of the cargo to another ship alongside so it became lighter and easier to free. Can you do that on this scale ,in this place without shore side cranes?

reminds me of a time I took my teen kids on summer vacation. we rented a modest outboard & rode out to an island. we were the first at the dock & the first the leave port. the wind was blowing, the tide was going out & dumb dad put the anchor on the beach. after a while we saw what was happening. we tried for probably an hour to push the boat against the wind so we could take off. I eventually made the call to wait out the tide. it might have been 4 hours before the tide turned & we were able to launch, despite the continued heavy wind. it was a dicey ride back to port, I even rode past it due to poor visibility, riding into the wind. I eventually realized my mistake, made the turn & despite terrifying my kids we made it back. my daughters' continuing terrified smile sticks with me still. when we got back the operator said after we left they didn't let anyone else rent a boat that day due to the wind hahaha
