Yes, there’s a great woman called Belinda at the BT call centre in Doncaster, she got me a great deal when they cocked up my fibre broadband install. Ive also had an amazing EE deal for years because one of the thought I was about to leave. Shame you have to play the game though.

It is, but it's worth doing. Totally depends on who you speak to mind!

No full fibre but BT is about £75 a month with line rental (no call allowance). Would be cheaper if we ditched the phone line.

The TNT sports seems to have been included recently.

I’ve just signed up for a full fibre deal, at 500 Mbps for £28 a month. The phone plugs into the router, with no call allowance. But I’ve got unlimited calls on the mobile anyway. Openreach are coming in next few days to get the fibre optic to where my existing copper comes in the house. Then they will let me know when they can do the bit to bring the fibre optic inside and fit the OPT box. Must buy a patch cable to run to where i like the wifi router to be.

When I got my last broadband deal, full fibre wasn’t an option. It’s now cheaper than the deals on FTTC. At least the ones I saw for my postcode. Guess they are keen to get the copper out the way, and likely have targets.

My existing contact expires in just under a month and now has no penalty to leaving.

Yes that was what I did. I’ve got the full fibre with 1gb which is more than I really need even though I work from home a bit plus Bt TV. It was cheaper to have something called digital voice as well, basically a land line number that runs off the Wi-Fi we never use. What we do use is wifi calling from our mobiles as we don’t have any mobile reception at home. Open reach are a law unto themselves and they ended up cancelling their installation and the existing BT copper wire broadband service by mistake, hence BT gave us a good deal on the fibre.

We arranged to have full FFTP from Vodafone, (with them for FTTC) they employ Open Reach to do their installations, we had several emails prior to the day before installation, at least one mentioned that if we were not in when they turned up we may have to pay a penalty.
They didn't turn up and no explanation why, so I contacted Vodafone, and they blamed Open Reach, so I asked if we would be compensated for them wasting our time, pointing out their threatening email about us having to pay if we were not at home.
I was told there was no compensation available by somebody, obviously in an overseas call center.
As it turns out Vodafone has signed up to the Ofcom compensation scheme, so when the installation was finally completed we got £30 for the fail to show date, plus £6 pound something a day until it was up and running, without any further asking our account was compensated £219.
Our next door neighbour has just ditched Sky and is having Vodafone installed, I told him he should hope they don't turn up!
We have full fibre 150mb with phone £26 a month.

I see an MP is bringing it up for debate today. Doubt it’ll make any difference but you never know.

Hmm, just give me a minute to find the right words...
I finally got round to it. It's a damn long survey but I made sure that I let them know what I thought...

"You have completely destroyed cycling viewing in the UK! You must by now be aware of how negative the response has been to taking Eurosport into TNT!!! I used to pay about £30 a year to stream Eurosport. That went up to £6.99 a month when you took over Eurosport. I didn't like the price increase but I was prepared to pay that. Maybe I could have stomached an increase to £10 a month but increasing it to £30.99 a month is just ridiculous and unacceptable. Most cyclists I know do not want to watch many other sports so they do not want to pay for those other sports. Bring back an option to watch groups of sports and charge for them separately. Say £10 a month for each package. If 3 or more packages are selected, the viewer gets the full TNT coverage. Many of my friends are now using VPNs to watch coverage from other countries rather than pay your massive price increase. THIS NEEDS A RETHINK!!! I (and many others) will never pay that kind of money for a sports package. Goodbye until you come up with a more sensible pricing strategy!"

I got an email with the survey attached, but I couldn't get in to it via the link so I didn't get to tell them what I thought, so I didn't the 7 month option. I'm not sure I would of taken it anyway.

A very similar story to yourself. Signed up for FTTP with Vf and initial date given Dec 13. That date passed and calls from that point stopped coming from India and escalated to a team in the U.K. who I could understand. They were excellent Craig always rang when they said they he would and kept me informed.
Two missed appointments from Openreach at £30 and multiple days at £6 I’ve enough funds in my account to cover the £26/ month for well over a year. Happy days and the connections great too. 😀

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but just saw elsewhere that EE have a deal where you can get a new TV including TNT Sports for 2 years as an add on to your EE contract for an extra £10 a month for 24 months.

Bigger screen sizes and other brands are available for higher monthly amounts.

Seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you're in the market for a new TV anyway.
