Streaming Cycling in UK - Discovery+ prices!

Some info for anyone contemplating subscription sharing. I've coughed up for TNT via Sky (£29/mth, one month rolling contract. As well as cycling, it's my optimal route to World & British Superbikes and MotoGP). My existing "basic" D+ was upgraded when I signed up to TNT, & now gets all the TNT sports. D+ claims it is usable by up to "4 devices simultaneously", but EE advises that only 2 different streams can be watched at any one time. I've shared my log in with my brother in law. We can both happily watch different sports streams on D+ at the same time, IP addresses at different ends of the country. In summary, at present, a shared account between 2 friends would seem to be workable without any constraints, so about £15 each per month. As long as it's only a month contract, if this changes in the future (like Netflix recently clamped down on account sharing), there's not a lot of risk.

It is not too bad if this includes several things you want to watch

but this is the problem with these big companies hoovering everything up - you end up with a channel that a lot of people want to watch for only one thing
but it is priced based on the prices of lots of sports

This is really helpful. Worth a try. Thank you.

I've not subscribed, but it seems it's bundled with EE/BT now for no extra. That said BT certainly is not cheap compared to the competition.
How much is that BT deal?

Fibre is not available here yet but it is promised by the end of next year so I will be looking for a package that includes sport.

I would be happy with (say) £40/month. £60/month would be like me paying for Plusnet BB and Discovery+ now.

We're with Sky until summer. When it expires, I'll probably go with EE. TV (inc. TNT/Disc+) £49/month for 12 months, then £54/month for the next 12. (24 month contract). It's a lot cheaper than SkyQ, less of a bargain compared to Sky streaming, but EE includes a recordable box unlike the Sky streaming offering.

unfortunately i have only recently re-subbed to sky  i do have my broadband and phones included so i do get a reasonable combined package with discounts .I did look at the sky glass but mrs ck wants a box.

We are with Virgin - because it was cheaper then renewing Sky

we did intend to switch back when the 18 month contract expires

but it does depend on what channels are around and Eurosport makes a difference to me

we shall see - but I'm not paying that much extra for it

I’ve cancelled my Zwift subscription (£18), I've saved another tenner by going SIM only on my phone, so with the £7 I was paying for D+, I can afford TNT with no extra overall monthly outlay. Not ideal, but I don’t drink, don’t go out very much, don’t go to the gym, so I’m reasonably happy to pay for TNT.

Spectacularly bad timing on my part, I’ve had my broadband with BT for years, but recently changed to Sky! If I’d stayed with BT, I’d have got TNT cheaper or even free.

No full fibre but BT is about £75 a month with line rental (no call allowance). Would be cheaper if we ditched the phone line.

The TNT sports seems to have been included recently.

EE are doing their best to push everything towards mobile which is why BT offerings are outrageously expensive.

Be very wary about promises of when fibre is arriving in your area. Even if it is bang on time, there will be a lot of issues.
