What’s the offer? What did I miss?

There's a £15.49/month for 7 months offer that WB flash up to some people when they cancel. In the hope of hooking them and they forget to cancel/find they want to keep it. But not, it seems, everyone gets offered

It's been mentioned a few times above... Eg
Normally I cancel D+ from Sept - Jan. Our D+ std pass was active as we'd been watching Aus Open tennis, so have cancelled, but taken out the £15.49 for 7mths TNT sports deal. £6.99 for tennis (AO & Fr O etc) and all cycling was a good deal. I won't be paying £30.99 - even with the bonus of having England cricket included, but for the next 7 months at least the £16 has 'added value' for me. In early September, I'm out. May be tempted to stump up one off £31 for July 26 - TdF.

Not everyone gets it....
So I’ve cancelled my D+ subscription. I got an email telling me that it was reverting to the Basic subscription, but I didn’t get the half price offer.

I've had basic access to Discovery Plus with my BT Halo 2. Just checked and I've re-activated it through my account, and I have access to cycling at no extra cost - OK BT isn't cheap. Just checked it and I can get the UAE Tour live ! I haven't signed up to TNT, but I suspect it may migrate to TNT at the end of the month, therefore needs additional subs. I'll keep an eye on it.

Edit, I seem to have access to the Premiership ?

It will do... I can still watch Eurosport for another 3 days but that will be it.

I don't start watching cycling normally until March so instead I decided to overload the Discovery+ servers by binge-watching Gold Divers and Aussie Gold Hunters while I still can!

Weird thing is it's saying I'm on TNT. Hmmm - Not watched Discovery for ages as it usually says I need premium to get access to most cycling, it's not currently. BT are merging with EE though ?

All sport has moved to TNT, but no option to select which sports you want.

I’ve been watching TNT through my BT TV subscription. I’ve completely lost track of who owns who but so far I have TNT and a Discovery plus subscription presumably through the BT.

We'll see what happens on the 28th then ! I just thought I had a basic Discovery+, always was until just tried it today. I suspect it will go next week.

Just confirming that TNT will keep the whole year's coverage avaliable on catch-up?

If so, I intend to subscribe to TNT for May and June, which will give me about 80 1-day races and stages for £62.

TdF highlights on ITV this year, and then take out a 3rd month for the Vuelta if it isn't available on Quest.

It's still a big hike from Eurosport, but not much more than 12 x £6.99 on Discovery.

I will try to avoid as many spoilers as possible but inevitably I will hear some race results before catching up.

You may have to chill out and relax a bit about watching events where you know the result in advance. Otherwise you'll be avoiding huge chunks of the season in a very weird way. Or maybe get yourself a Men in Black neuralyzer to wipe your memory before watching.

Personally I always seek out sporting results asap even if I'm planning on viewing later. I'm weird like that.

Some info for anyone contemplating subscription sharing. I've coughed up for TNT via Sky (£29/mth, one month rolling contract. As well as cycling, it's my optimal route to World & British Superbikes and MotoGP). My existing "basic" D+ was upgraded when I signed up to TNT, & now gets all the TNT sports. D+ claims it is usable by up to "4 devices simultaneously", but EE advises that only 2 different streams can be watched at any one time. I've shared my log in with my brother in law. We can both happily watch different sports streams on D+ at the same time, IP addresses at different ends of the country. In summary, at present, a shared account between 2 friends would seem to be workable without any constraints, so about £15 each per month. As long as it's only a month contract, if this changes in the future (like Netflix recently clamped down on account sharing), there's not a lot of risk.
