Live coverage there on BBC News of the webcam on Largs pier. The harbour itself relatively calm due to the breakwater, but visibly worse than an hour ago.
The winds must have been worse than I thought, as the news reader on BBC (10.00 news) told us that Largs is to the EAST of Glasgow. Yesterday it was 30 miles south west of Glasgow!

Just been outside talking to the landscaper that are doing the driveway and patio

It is a bit windy out

unfortunately no sign of that bloomin' sycamore blowing down so it no longer drops 17 million tons of leaves and helicopter seeds everywhere every autumn - and shades out solar panels!!!

They must have had complaints. Same news reader was on 11.00 news apologising for her error 😂.

It was here too so I was thinking of going out for an hour or two on the bike.

Then there was a loud roaring sound outside and doors started blowing open INSIDE the house...

There are no windows open - that was just from minor gaps in the structure such as keyholes and the letterbox on the front door!

I think I will give it a while to settle down and try to get an hour in before sunset.

Now to go and see what happened to the recycling containers that I put out last night. Have they been emptied or has the wind emptied them on the street?! Are the containers still outside the house or are they now halfway to Burnley?!
