I'll expect a long post then explaining how this proves global warming isn't really happening

Nope, I'm totally sold on the idea. What I'm not convinced about is the assertion that we can change the outcome with punitive legislation given the population growth of the planet

Ye gads.. the way this country grinds to a halt everytime there's a few inches of snow is quite pathetic.

Yes, it is. That said, I might use it as an excuse not to go to work myself (although I won't get paid then).

I have just got into work lovely ride but I do wish I had had one of the 30+ trikes we have at work.

I was up at 7.00 and measuring tape out and it was 2.3/4 in now it is just over 4in. To night is going to be bad I AM taking one of the the new trikes home.

Everyone here seems to have the day off!! Teachers can't get to work as they all live too far away!!

Had a pang of guilt as I realised it was the care worker for the old lady accross the road who was trying to get up the hill in her car!!
She eventualy had the sence to get out and walk, but I hadn't given that old lady one second of thought until then !!!

I will go round and check on her later.

I've got well over a foot of snow here in Guildford. The drifts are several feet deep (I know because I stepped in one right up to my waist - and I'm 6'3"!). It looks absolutely beautiful, but there is no possibility of going anywhere. According to the local news the main roads are pretty much impassable. Cycling isn't possible because it is too deep to pedal (I tried).

The cat couldn't get out his catflap, so I cleared the back step. When he got off that he just sank straight into the snow.

Well, you must be in a drift, there's only about 2 inches here in Southbank, if that. I've just brushed it all off my Mum's car for her drive home.

My sister texted at 7.30 to say there was lots in Winchester. I hope she takes the day off and takes Oli sledging on the park. Or maybe his Dad will be unable to get to Reading, so he can do it. If I'd been there, I'd have been out at daybreak with him with a tea tray (whether he liked it or not!;))
