Yep, we've got a proper covering here in SW London now and the sound has gone all cotton wool. Sorely tempted to dash outside and catch snowflakes on my tongue!

I agree with you there. I was cycling home in it last night when it started and a serene calm suddenly came over me as the noise of the cars just melted away.

We need more snow in London really.

Being temporarily without wheels I booked a taxi, we went half a mile before he talked me into having the day off. He's knocked it on the head for the day too.

result! Walked out of front door, and taxi comes down the street with its light on. Ours is not too small a street for taxis, but there he was. Ushered The Babe into taxi and all is well!

When she gets to work she's going to sack anybody who's late - telling them that if she can walk to work, so can they....

now I can escort The Kid to school - which will please her........not at all!

No cycling.. no work...

No buses, very few trains and hardly any cars out and about at the moment, and it's still snowing heavily at the moment. Hooray, i'm off work anyway today.
