I thought there was enough to be hopeful about though. Of all the things Jones is meant to bring an attention to discipline is fairly high up. So the cards and penalty count should fall
Only if he drops Haskell and Robshaw...

Ireland scored after Brand Haskell got binned and the ref had twice given penalty advantage against Robshaw who cheats about as subtly as President Clinton.

For balance I think it's worth pointing out that in the midst of this England are unbeaten, with a chance for the triple crown in a fortnight, yet still don't look like a coherent team for more than glimpses.

How I wish Owens and Poite had been switched for that match. Can't understand why Poite gets two matches whereas the superior ref, Owens only gets the one. I am glad the one he does get is France - England though

I'm not a rugby administrator. I'm just seeking to redefine a framework of laws so that we don't spend the whole game talking about "interpretation" or, worse, still, "what on earth is going on in the scrum?"
You want change but you don't know what change you want. Fair enough. I'll stop ty

The men in red will have watched tonight and will be looking forward to the match in two weeks. Wales are unbeaten too.

I don't think they've been particularly convincing this year either. The France game looked even more disjointed than England-Ireland, and their Scottish game wasn't exactly a brilliant performance. They do tend to raise their game for England though, and Wales winning will win them the 6 nations as I can't see Italy tripping them up.

No argument from me. It was definitely a game where the yoof showed the old guys how it should be done

Mike Brown is like the little dogs that chase the big dogs who aren't really bothered by them but get out the way anyway for peace. He's surely got to be cited for that kicking. Owen Farrell was a bit like that too but seems to have matured.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't cited. I enjoyed the game but England look a bit like a work in progress.

Heard that's intentional to get more refs involved. Do wonder if owens is playing the seniority card though. 2 games I've seen him intervene in a way touch judges don't usually.

I'd be very surprised if he got cited for that. Neither intent nor malice.

And sure, England are a work in progress. But they are progressing. They deserved their win today. And I suspect they don't fear anything ahead...
