Boris rides at an optimal speed, at the optimal road position, and he rides as safely as humanely possible. Anyone attempting to outmanouvre Boris is obviously a pillock who is putting lives at risk and thus MUST. BE. STOPPED.

Well... yes, obviously. Ca va sans dire!

But also... my 'dangerous idiot' reference was massively non-serious and cannot have been understood otherwise.

But of course everything Red Card says is spot on. I will use it in court. I do not like to be outmanoeuvred.

I ride (of course) as safely as humanly possible. Maybe as safely as is humanely possible too.

Qysh tjeter?

I do occasionally show off, but only around people i don't know.
Such as on the commute to work this morning, bumbling along at 14mph in my work overalls on the mountain bike,
see a kid in my mirror who was going for the overtake and then the mist descends and i'm off.

Then i've seen the odd rider "wearing all the gear" on a bike worth more than my three combined ... and you can just
tell from their 50rpm cadence that they are fresh into a new fad!
Love nuking them on my mountain bike in my work clothes!!

I've also had some very disapproving "oi's" and "whoays" from several members of the peterborough cycling club.
Well three were doing this "standy upy" pedalling over a slight incline and i wafted past still sitting upright at high cadence.
Sorry lads, i wasn't in your group ... just out on my own solo ride!

I fear the concepts of subtlety and wit may be lost on fans of Howard Stern - the man behind fictional superhero "Fartman".

So thats who his avatar is.... that image bugs me!

Nah, I don't mind Brian May, certainly wouldn't punch him. The face in that avatar though is about as effective at inducing instant hatred as it comes for me.

Gosh its been a long time since I've actually got control of the computer...summer holidays eh. but to the subject.... i got overtaken by two cyclists when I was coming back from my usual 2hr ride, they shot past me VERY close ... they had just gone straight through a round about and I'd been turning right from stationary and it miffed me a bit so I just sped up and sat on the tail of the slower one into the head wind into town and shouted "thanks for the lift mate" as I turned off up my street. Is that mean? It had been a very windy ride....and I didn't follow them the wrong way round a car at the roundabout, I do have my standards.
