Yes - but please don't ask me to explain it! SCO have to get 5 points from the Ireland game to start with, so lets take it from there.
(I think they also need to rack-up some more points diff too). Google may find you the same page that I found ...
I would bet quite a large sum that RSA go through. But not my house.

Its very unlikely, both teams need to score 4 tries, and scotland then need a 21 point clear margin, which would have all 3 teams on 15 pts.
Scotland would win the pool on points difference (which would be the decider as head to head between the 3 teams are 1 win one loss each) , and then for 2nd place, head to head kicks in, which favours Ireland as they beat the Boks.

There is no way we should be able to put that sort of margin on Ireland. We may win, but it would be by a slender margin.

Should have taken the points on our second penalty. Poor decision that. Haven't been helped by losing two key players early on.
