"Can people recommend a good pair of fingerless road gloves". Was the question, size has nothing to do with it, I'm sure the OP can figure out for himself he needs to try them to get the correct size and make sure they fit nice. This place gets more pedantic by the day

There's nothing pedantic about pointing out that gloves are a very personal choice. He seems to have had a lot of recommendations for Spec BGs - I've also got a pair and I think they're great. But recommendations are pointless (as I said originally) as they might not fit his hand shape. The best gloves are the ones that fit.

A recommendation is just that, recommend the OP something to look at. So instead of helping and posting that you too have Specialized BG that you think are great you say it's pointless!

Giro LX, the best gloves I’ve ever used. Being leather they’re a little bit more expensive.

Two summers in and they still look as good as new, and they’re a handsome pair of gloves.

Being leather they don’t seem to suffer as bad from “glove pong”. Once they’re too sweated and snotty, for a discerning gentleman around town, they join me post ride in the shower for a soap down then a line dry (just the gloves not me on the line).

The only issue I’ve had is on one all day soaking, some of the colour came out and stained my hand, the gloves where fine.

It is ultimately pointless. My honest suggestion would be "go and find your own", but I suspect the forum would go into meltdown if I said that. On the other hand, I have about seven different pairs of gloves - maybe I could recommend them all...

I don't think you understand the concept of recomedations

And I don't think you can spell it. But anyway, can you recommend what size trousers I should wear? No? Exactly...

Anyway, my advice is try a few pairs on. Nothing wrong with that. It's just as valid as any other piece of advice on here.

The original poster got what he asked for. That's what people are giving him, and i am sure he is happy with that.

You clearly don't comprehend the question and the many replies to your issues about size. NOBODY is telling the OP what size to get. ;)

As far as recommendations are concerned, it's not all about fit. There are other factors too, like quality, longevity and comfort, to name just a few.

Yes, if they bought the wrong size, then that would be a problem but it goes without saying that they will buy the size that fits.

The fact that so many have suggested the Specialized BG's suggests that they tend to fit a range of different hand shapes, which further diminishes your suggestion that it's pointless.

I don't know about in the UK but I have Giant gloves out here and they are very good. However having said that there are many different type/quality of Giant gloves available and some are not so good so careful choosing is needed.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now you're getting silly, as it is clear that this is not what I am suggesting. Comprehension problems again.
Nah less comprehension, more a trolling problem.
