+1 but they do get whiffy if you have sweaty hands! Mine last about 3-6 months, cost £20+ a time

Altura classic. And you get a lovely checker board effect when it's sunny on the back of your hand. They are also great for wiping your face with

Heres a thought , wash them  , mind you i know your thoughts on washing bikes ..............
Of course I wash them! But after a couple of rides, they are the same. I've tried soaking in bicarb too before washing. They shrink a bit while washing and get uncomfortable. They are however the best type for protecting my damaged hand though, just have to buy new ones regularly

Specialzed BG as well for me - made my first commuting bike's bar tape bearable until I could swap it for something comfier.

I've also tried, and liked, Garneau's "Zero Calory" gloves.

I have 2 pairs of RSP (Raleigh I believe) race mitts. They were about £10 per pair. They're light weight and have been very hard wearing and comfortable. They're slightly padded in the palm. I also have 2 pairs of £5 Aldi mitts. They're also comfortable and have gel padded palms. They're perfectly good for my commutes.
