Makes no sense what you wrote, you said that paid £25, £2 tip, pocketed £1 each, which comes to £30 sorted, but you also then said paid £27 then a £2 tip which is factually incorrect as the tip was already in the £27.

If none of faces of the coins from the tosses landed the same, The Wise & the Good lost the shares.

After all three gold coins were tossed..who had lost ?

It is not possible to toss 3 coins with only 2 faces for 2 of them not to be the same, therefore these lost.

Bill comes to £25 for three people.
£30 handed over in payment, with £5 being returned.
Three tips at £2 equals £6.
Therefore no-one got anything back. They were a £1 short, tip wise!
