Oh, hang on, I think the question is ambiguously worded. It needs to be a palindrome in the classic sense, no matter which way up you write it.
So pod is incorrect, but NOON works (as long as all caps is acceptable)

The word "I" also works!!
Yeah,its all classic's fault:whistle:

Three people have breakfast at a cafe. The bill comes up to £25.They each pay with a £10 note. When they get £5 back, they decide to leave £2 as a tip and take £1 each.So they each pay £9.They pay £27,leave £2 as a tip, which when added gives £29.What happened to the other £1?

Makes no sense what you wrote, you said that paid £25, £2 tip, pocketed £1 each, which comes to £30 sorted, but you also then said paid £27 then a £2 tip which is factually incorrect as the tip was already in the £27.

What you explained is the answer:laugh:
Most people add 27+2 thinking they paid 27 and leave it at that:thumbsup:

The Good , The Wise & The Lucky

If none of faces of the coins from the tosses landed the same, The Wise & the Good lost the shares.

After all three gold coins were tossed..who had lost ?
It is not possible to toss 3 coins with only 2 faces for 2 of them not to be the same, therefore these lost.

Bill comes to £25 for three people.
£30 handed over in payment, with £5 being returned.
Three tips at £2 equals £6.
Therefore no-one got anything back. They were a £1 short, tip wise!

A Bet On The Side
Mr. Gamble and Mr. Prude went to the CycleChat Casino, which offered the following game:

A customer bets on a number on a die (1 through 6). The dealer rolls a single die. If the customer’s number comes up, he is paid 4 times his bet, if not - customer loses his bet.
Without delay, Mr. G makes his mind to play 5 rounds betting £1 on number “1” each time. Mr. P, believing the game is in favor of the house offers a side bet, whereby if after 5 rolls Mr. G ends up behind he must pay £5 to Mr. P, otherwise Mr. P pays £5 to Mr. G.
After 5 rounds, what is the average payoff to:
1) CycleChat Casino?
2) Mr. Gamble?
3) Mr. Prude?

Results may be rounded to the nearest penny.
