I've owned a Racal/3M Dustmaster respirator for years. It's designed to blow clean filtered air down over your face to prevent you breathing fine dust while doing stuff like sawing or routing MDF. It's quite comfortable to wear, but scratches on the polycarbonate visor make it a nightmare to use if you have to do detailed things up close.
They are not deep gouges, just fine surface scratches that obscure vision. Can anybody give me advice on how to polish them out?

BTW, this is an official Racal photo, not one from a specialist magazine....

Thank you.

toothpaste can work for this sort of thing. Brasso likewise , or duraglit, or something like t-cut.

Try a bit on the corner first obviously

Daft answer, can't you just buy a replacement visor and sacrificial films to protect it, that's what happens with my shot blast cabinet.

I got a fairly deep gouge in my new watch face. My watchmender friend recommended Brasso. It took a bit of elbow grease but it's as good as new now. Probs acrylic
Edit - I've just read the previous replies and feel suitably chastened.

OK here's another approach, you've had it for years. Perhaps technology has moved on and you can buy a new mask that performs better at a fraction of cost. It could be the God of DIY telling you to visit ebay.
