So am I supposed to use brasso to make my toothpaste smoother, or toothpaste to make the brasso taste better?
And a cotton bud. Failing that use tomato ketchup!

as an aside, an egnineer mate of mine, no longer with us, was heavily involved in the design of the Racal mask referred to by the OP

This stuff will take the enamel off yer teeth.... but it's the best thing I've found to remove scratches from hand held unit screen I use in work.

Smells nice too...

Use plastic polish which is not designed for cleaning teeth, toothpaste is way too abrasive to fine finish plastic.

Send me your address and I will put some in the post for you, I import it and sell it for headlamp repair.

The 5ml will be plenty to finish the job properly.
That's a very kind offer. Thank you. I'll send a PM.

I tried @screenman's wizard polishing solutions and they worked really well. The visor is now pretty good optically. I have a problem with static cling due to all the rubbing, but spray lens cleaner gets round that to a large extent.

Many thanks to you all.
