I often have a dream (about once/month) where I can't find a toilet. When I eventually find one, it's always covered in faeces, overflowing, and generally in a disgusting state. I end up having to use it anyway. It then ALWAYS continues in the same way....I'm on the toilet doing my business and various people come into the room (usually work colleagues) and they all sit around me. The situation then morphs into a situation where I'm in the toilet in the middle of (for example) a classroom or meeting room and everyone is watching me.

Last night it happened again, and I was told to leave the room. I felt too embarrassed to wipe myself so I had to pull my pants up and leave the room unclean.

Anyone else have any recurring dreams?
My less than knowledgeable diagnosis of your dream is this: Your work is utter sh!t.

I used to have the "dead animal" dream quite a lot..... the animal would change.... sometimes a rabbit, sometimes a guinae pig or hamster ..... and in my dream I would suddenly remember I couldn't remember the last time I'd fed it.... I'd go rushing off and find a skeleton.... Never even had a guinae pig in real life, but a really disturbing dream.....

Very occasionally I have one about catching trains or planes. They always start with me having everything under control regarding check in, connections, what platform etc etc. Then for some reason it all starts to go wrong. I get delayed in the security check. Or they change the train platform. Or I make a mistake when the plane is due to take off.
I end up running around through the station or the airport. Funny thing is I never know whether I make the train/plane, I always wake up just before I find out

I'm very careful with my travel plans in reality, maybe that's the reason?
I've had that one lots of times. It is usually about me flying off for a cycling holiday. The anxiety is normally that I have forgotten to take my passport, which at least seems like a mistake that I could make, but in a couple of those dreams I arrived at the airport without my bike ... I do have a poor memory and am easily distracted, but even I would struggle to forget to take a bike on a cycling holiday!

I believe that most dreams are on a spectrum defined at its extremes by anxiety and euphoria, triggered by a person's general mood and daily experiences. These all sound like classic anxiety dreams; mine always used to be about all my teeth beginning to fall out.
Despite the fact i left university in 1997 i still have a dream at least once a month that i have not completed my course work or revised for my exams. It gets worse if i am very busy at work.

I have several..........

Being in high places, such as on the roof of a house, and I freeze (understandable as I`m sh*t scared of heights)
Teeth falling out
Relatives that have passed away still being with us (sad when I wake up!)
Waking up laughing, but having no idea what I was dreaming about

Some repeating nightmares too:

Being lost in woods and no way out
Varying stories about fires in buildings
Being held hostage:eek: but I always escape!

Plus plenty of other rubbish that I could bore you with!

Not a nice one, but nightmares never are.

With mine I always wake up cold, the house is scarily silent, and pitch black, never a nice experience!
