Ooh! Just had a long interview with the CAB woman about claiming PIP. SHe thinks I might have a good case for this given all my side effects and problems! So it probably means I'll get naff all.....

Talk about Brain Fog. I really cannot remember dates or days of the week. I was due to go to COVID booster jab. I thought it was today, being a Tuesday and even though I know it's the 1st today and I knew the jab walk in sessions are on the 2nd and 3rd, I still got ready to stagger down to the clinic. Luckily I checked their website as I was about to leave and I still had to read it three times before i worked out it was tomorrow at the earliest I can do it. Bah!! Best that I go an lie down in a dark room, esp after talking to the DWP Robot on the phone earlier.

Slack day, some errands out and about over lunch. Cleared up nicely this arvo for a late walk was about it on the achievements list. Rinse and repeat tomorrow probably.

Shh will ya? What a bloody racket. Is the refugee boat hotel thingy sinking or something, what's the hullabaloo?
Overslept. Needed it.
Stunning day with a stiff southerly to scrap with. I preened and cleened [sic] the summer bike just yesterday for it's first outing of 2025.

Laters

Found that watch yet, Mr. P?

last year before a long time away, i put one of mine 'somewhere safe' rather than in the safe, then forgot where, took me two days to find it, which was by chance not recollection, in the pocket of a jacket

Yep, there's only really one place for them if you want to avoid annoyance and possible angst.

you'd think so, but not so clearcut when someone has a habit of misplacing her key, then 'borrows' my key until they find their key, which reminds me that she has my key...

That's a problem with no solution. If I had a quid for every time I lent my OH car keys, house keys or rung her b****y phone so she can figure out where she put it down, I'd be considerably richer than I am....

What does a 1/1.5 ride mean?

On a Sunday there are 3 groups for the club runs. Group 1 which is racing snakes, group 2 mainly older folk like myself and group 3 which sometimes be ladies on electric bikes.
So a 1/1.5 is slower than group one ride but faster than a group 2 ride.
Now having completed a 78 mile 1/1.5 ride which is supposed to be at a casual and chatty pace all I can say is I did very little chatting especially on the hills.
The only thing I felt like saying is “ could you slow down a bit” which I couldn’t do as I couldn’t speak.

The ladies on Electric Bikes will drop you on the hills! My wife does every time to me. Well did, last time I cycled, which was August last year!!! Yikes!

I was talking to a chap who been out with a group 3 ride and he was the only one on non electric. So it was a case of the ladies waiting for him at the top hills. Then on any back wind flat bit he would have to wait for them.
I went on one ride and it went up Blakey bank from Church Houses 25% for over a mile and it gets a9 out of 10 in the best climbs in Yorkshire. I had to stop 3 times and was beaten to the top by a lady on what seemed to be an electric shopping trolley.🤣🤣🤣🤣
