5 stars as we have secure covered parking within about 30ft of the main entrance. Showers on the the 7th floor, which for me is great as my office is on the 7th floor. Free towels, no lockers, but I can clothes in my office. Plus an extra 50 squid in the pay cheque each month for opting for cycling to work.

Maybe I should start making using of the facilities and benefits

Whadda you reckon @Leaway2 ?

I would say it was a 5 but has dropped to a 4 with the move of the bike spaces out if the exec car park to under the flyover.

Was told recently that I am getting my own shower at work  Well its a female shower for everyone, but I'm the only lady who cycles to work. I was allowed use of the only shower in the building when I asked last summer but I never had need for it, and it is in the men's toilets.

You obviously work for a richer part of the NHS than I do.
We have a few bike racks dotted around that are bent and not secure, no showers, no drying facilities and a less than useless C2W scheme that opens for 1 week per quarter.

Same here. I work in a PFI Hospital & it's crap, really crap. There is a decent number of sheffield stands near the main entrance. Secure parking is via some old mossy bike pods. The PFI people don;t have a clue who uses them anymore and has put notices on asking people to report usage. There are supposed to be showers in the staff change, but I skip them as they are a good walk away in the main building.

I use the bog in the portacabin offices next to mine for washing & changing, and the bike lives by my desk. Luckily my colleagues & line manager are all supportive.

The C2W scheme opened for the duration of September, which was an improvement on the previous year when it was November. In contrast, they run a salary sacrifice car lease scheme all year round for staff (saves tax on car payments).

The Trust does bugger all to support and publicise cycling as a means of commuting or as business use. It's tragic

4/5 for mine. My company has a bike cage in the ground-level carpark, with Sheffield loops in it, enough to fit about 50 bikes with a bit of squeezing. Security guards "visit" it (which really just involves them walking over to a scanner and swiping a card over it, then walking away ). Nearby, there are male/female locker and shower rooms and toilets.

The only downside is that the building management doesn't police smoking in the carpark. Because it's at the ground level of a building, it's an enclosed space, and so by Victorian state law smoking there is prohibited, but I haven't had much luck convincing the building management to properly address this problem.

This is the extent of my facilities

All I have is a freezing cold room for just myself. Fortunately it has the luxury of a door with a lock on it and a small plug in heater  very useful on these winter mornings.

I lean the bike against my desk after carrying it up two flights of stairs. There are two other bikes in my executive suite. I am encouraged by the Company Secretary to tinker with my bike when business is quiet.
I rate myself at "Eleven".

I would say 4 out of 5.

I can lock my bike to a provided metal structure outside, uncovered, but in a very secure car park.

One shower, but I work shifts and thankfully nobody else cycles on my shift so I have it to myself.

I have a locker I can keep clothes in but I usually just hang my t-shirt over my bag under the desk and it doesn't stink the place out as I don't carry anything on my back anymore.

I would have given the full 5/5 if the bike locking area was covered over, that's my only complaint really.

Ours is a PFI build too
- Sheffield stands, under canopies, but the myriad of CCTV cameras don't cover them (supposed to be 450 -550 cameras on site!)
- Lockers/pods too, but these are invariably taken all the time, by riders keeping them locked. Some were moved further out of sight, as (I guess that) someone complained that they could be seen from an office/meeting room??

I take my bike inside, & leave it in the departments changing room (behind locked doors)
Some of the lucky ones (Consultants) take their bikes up to their offices, on the top floor!!*
I can generally get all the towels I need, from our Linen cupboards
Showers in changing room - could do with hotter water, but it's all temperature regulated

Not sure on it, from the business aspect, but it is mooted as a transportation to work, as is public transport

Unless you're on-call, on certain departments, on 'MAJAX' response, you don't get a car-park pass (which you pay for) if you live closer than a mile radius

Bet the 'brass' get them though??

* Some I know of;
- 3 A&E Consultants
- 2 A&E Registrars
- 2 Cardiology Consultants
- 1 Consultant General Surgeon
- 1 Consultant Vascular Surgeon
- 1 Consultant Anaesthetist (also a Triathlete)

- 2 Consultant Radologists

Bike shelter with Sheffield stands covered by CCTV.
1 shower /locker room which also has a coat rack for drying purposes
Only 3/4 regular cyclists and a few fair weather only riders in an office of over 200 people. Shower also gets used by a few lunchtime runners.
Never any issues and fair few people think its amazing I cycle the 12 miles to work
