Actually not.
It irritates me to see the edge of the road spelt curb instead of kerb, to me it looks wrong, but the OED allows either spelling.

I always thought that was spelt "kyirb", as that's how they say it.

Either way, we could adopt the "Standardised Scouse Spelling", and supersede the older spellings.
