Why do people shave their heads then grow a beard?
It looks like their head is on upside-down.
🙃

It can get much worse:

You mean dead heading, like roses?
No, they won't come back, they are not a shrub.
You must leave them to dry out, they will self seed, come back next year.
However, you can harvest the seeds from the wilted, dried flowers to have free seeds for another box ^_^

I planted/sowed those seeds on the 2nd of April. I took that bottom pic' today. The chutes are getting quite high, but only a few flowers have appeared yet!! 🤔

At the end of the day, they only cost 3 quid a box. I'm planning on taking them out when they die off and putting already grown flowers/plants in like Pansies, Marigolds etc. 🤔 I'll keep the dead chutes though, then take out the seeds for next spring. :okay:

Sounds good, but do I want to leave dead chutes in till next spring? When do you think those chutes and flowers in the pics will start to die off and look shabby?
In autumn.
But meantime, more will come up.
If you don't like the look of fading flowers, deadhead them, but then you will need to put down more seeds in autumn for next summer.
