Hows the wait in A+E?!!

I could've ended up in there today!:B) I nearly fell over as I put an indoor palm tree on a high stool to get some sunshine. The tree was heavier than I thought and I fell forward as I picked it up, just managing to steady myself.

Sat in my car today waiting for the heater to warm up enough to clear the windscreen, it made me think as I used my wipers to clear the outside that a wiper inside, as well as one outside would be beneficial. Why don't cars have inside windscreen wipers? 🤔

At least partly because the inside is concave, and it is harder t make wipers work on that. Though also because the amount of use they would get is not enough to justify them. It is only the first couple of minutes on a cold morning that they would be needed.

What I don't understand is why more companies don't make cars with front windscreen demisters. I know Ford originally had a patent on them, but surely that has expired by now.

What's the difference? 🤔

With a convex surface, a straight blade would touch in the middle, and the ends need to be pushed down to make contact.

With a concave surface, a straight blade will touch at the ends, and the middle needs to be pushed down to make contact. I think it is harder to get the even bend that is required to get contact all along the length when doing it that way.

Put the heater on maximum and fan on full, directed at windscreen, with the air set to recirculate, if it has air con turn it on, open both front windows about an inch, it will clear quicker, if you have air con leave it on year round as A, the system dries the air coming into the car, B, Keeps the oil in the system circulating which stops seals drying out leading to expensive repairs

Why does this happen? I've noticed over the last few years that my when I wash up, the mugs and glasses I place near the edge of the draining bit of my sink suck up water. 🤔

I had a Ford with that. Very useful and worked well.

The air in the upturned glass is warm, so is effectively big, so then when it cools it therefore shrinks so it sucks up the water from the draining board.
