You can modify disposable lighters to have an unfeasibly large and probably dangerous flame. Passing this lighter on to an unsuspecting friend looking to light their smoke is good fun.

I don’t know about nostril hair, but a visit to the local Turkish Barber sometimes gets your ear hair flamed, they tap the stuff with a burning wick, gets rid of it no bother, for the nose it’s a cotton bud with wax stuck up your snout which is then sharply removed!

bit hard to say really, it's quite a shock to the system when it's removed
