I've noticed more acorns hitting the car, and just generally. According to the seed council, there is indeed a bumper crop this year - they think partly due to the very poor crop last year. Apparently this is a "mast" year.

Why are you worrying about one small person taking a bit, when there are bankers CEO's and the like steadily walking away with millions and utterly convinced they deserve it. Perhaps because people are distracted by the little bit being taken elsewhere.

There certainly seems to be more acorn drifts on the roads this year, along with more squashed chestnut (both types) mulch.
