I wonder why we have 5 months between the clocks going back in October, to going forward the next March. Yet we have 7 months between them going forward in March to going back in October. Why don't they put the clocks back in September, or put the clocks forward in April, so it's equaled out I wonder. 🤔

It's based on temperature as well as daylight hours.

People who work for a living in customer service but have no clue about service! We went to a food/craft fair on Sunday, sat outside a cafe with a barcode ordering system on the outside tables. We ordered 2 teas and 2 coffees. 20 minutes later when my Dad's tea arrived, there was no milk and no sugar. The waitress said "you have to go inside to get milk and sugar". Dad promtly went inside, asked where the milk and sugar was, another member of staff sighed and walked off, came back with milk. Dad said "where's the sugar please". She sighed again, walked off and came back with sugar...and no teaspoon! Dad was getting a bit annoyed and just said "have you got something to stir it with?!" I wouldn't think that a place as busy as that would be so under-prepared for such run of the mill requests.

A good question, to which I have no real answer.

Oddly, in the Southern Hemisphere, the countries which have DST usually do have within a week or so of 6 months between the changes, while almost every country in the Northern hemisphere have within a week or so of 7 months "summer" time and 5 months "winter" time.

Do people still drink Lager and Lime?

My ex wife did and probably still does. I often wonder why some like a pint or a half of 'lager top' which around here is lager just short of the pint or half mark to allow for the server to pour lemonade supposedly on top of the lager to make the drink up to a full pint or a full half. I'm thinking that the lemonade due to the gas bubbles of both the lager and the lemonade soon mixes into the lager, where you can hardly taste it! 🤔

Yes, lager top / lager splash was popular in the 90's I think and it sort of took over from lager and lime.

However if memory serves me correct the lime / lemonade was "free" back then, nowadays they charge you extra for it even though you are getting less lager!
