Do any of you remember Colt 45, which was an American pale ale in the 1970's. My mum and dad used to give me a can, and also a tin of Mackeson before they went out on a Saturday night, with me having one of dad's Benson & Hedges ciggies I'd nicked from his packet earlier in the week. Heck, I was only 13 at the time!!

I remember Mackesons, very sweet stuff. Also Manns Brown Ale in quart bottles with a screw in stopper, excellent for bottling home brew.

How do you know if you're stupid? I have been watching the Jeremy Vine Show in the morning and some of the callers clearly don't know they're idiots. What if I'm an idiot too? Clearly I am not as much an idiot as they are, but compared to people who definitely aren't idiots.

You can still get it, although I haven't seen it in the UK for a while.

I looked at the time on my phone and saw we'd already moved forward an hour. This was at 01.20, but I saw it showing 02.20. I thought the clocks went forward at 2am, not 1am. 🤔 Yes, I'm almost sure in late October when they go forward they change at 2am, as I posted about the change on CC once when it happened a few years ago. 🤔

At the 'appointed' hour it wouldn't be that hour anyway ,or would it?
The full 24 hr day would have to run ,or timetabled services would be an HR short or an HR longer unless that particular service is cancelled , it's all arbitrary really..
Personally I think BST , / UIT / GMT is silly, it bought to remain ascis , the only real thing to take account of is a base international date time, so we can all take time from a base time.

There is a case for regional time as there would be and is an appreciable change East or West you travel from GMT.

Here's the bit from the sketch. Was 'Red Barrel' possibly the Carlsberg or Fosters of its time in being cheap and sold everywhere?
I'm not old enough to have ever sampled it (or DD for that matter)

Errrr! Yes quite ! Perhaps that's why I prefer not to to package yours, and travel by bike.

BST officially starts at 0100 UTC (i.e. GMT) on the last Sunday in March, when clocks go forward from 0100 to 0200.

It ends at 0100 UTC on the last Sunday in October, when clocks go back from 0200 BST to 0100.

Why do most cyclists on road bikes use cleats that you can't walk in when SPDs do the same job and you can walk in them easily?

(Walks away and takes shelter)

Ah, now that's a difficult one !
A bit like Shrodingers cat , or the tree in the wood that falls down.

My brother-in-law probably has an idea that he might be thick

because even his kids have given up and can often be heard saying "For ***'s sake Dad stop being so thick"
poor bloke - he can't help it
(but I bet he has never give anyone too much change in his taxi - not so thick when it comes to money!!)

The real question is, what became of the 1 dentist who didn't recommend a particular brand?

It's just marketing at the end of the day. Same with razors and other "hygiene" products really, finding something which differentiates you from your competitors is key and all about brand loyalty.

There was a cartoon showing all the different washing products aimed at women, the man's section had "all in one shampoo, shower gel, car wash fluid, washing up liquid"
