I think I might've asked this before, so if I have my apologies. My question is about rain water and that fake grass many seem to buy now to avoid lawn maintenance. When it rains does the fake grass allow water to drain through it, or does the rain water remain on the fake grass till it dries/evaporates naturally? 🤔

It is porous so rain water soaks through and into the ground.
I am generalising based on the patch I have and obviously there are lots of different manufacturers with different qualities.

While there are different manufacturers and different types/qualities, I believe they are all designed to be porous.

but I suppose it depends on the person laying it whether or not the underlying surface is also porous
I have seen some that seem to be laid on concrete!

Indeed. That is why I said "designed to be".
