Probably because nobody knows. I'd never even heard of colour catches before your post. I can infer from context hat they are, but that doesn't help to answer your question.

I went to the laundry today On emptying my bag of washed clothes etc I noticed that the three colour catches I'd put in the washing machine with my washing didn't have any dye on them. In fact they looked like they'd just been taken out of their package, not been through a hot 30 minute wash. My question is could I use them again, or even though they look good will their colour absorbing abilities have been washed away on that hot 30 minute wash? 🤔
