Yes, the view is of Esztergom on the Hungarian side, taken from midway across to the Slovakian side (Sturnovo).

The river doesn't obviously seem very high close up, but I've no idea what it's normally like. There's certainly a decent current on it.

I thought I recognised it! I was there last week. I also didn't get the impression that the level was particularly high, although in my photos it actually looks a touch higher than in yours.

Here's my touring photo offering, taken just after crossing the Danube at Medveďov. My God it was hot that day 🥵

Weekend past, I'd arranged an overnight cycle trip to an Airbnb 35 miles away for a group of 6 of us, 5 of whom had never done an overnight bike trip before, 3 had never cycled more than a few miles, 1 didn't own a bike until last Monday. Everyone made it, some with sore bits but everyone had a smile on their face and feedback has been positive. Most are asking about the next one already.

Another little overnighter tour last weekend from Portadown (NI) to Carlingford (IE) with the vast majority of the 35 miles covered on greenway. It really is a lovely route although 3 punctures on the same fella's rear tyre meant the scenic views on the way down were covered in darkness. Thank goodness for Halfords in Newry to get a new tube, new tyre and a lend of a few tools.

That may well be the group tours over for the year.

Did you get an e-visa from that Albanian agency to cross into Kosovo?

Yes, actually a police permit rather than a visa and we went the other way (Kosovo to Montenegro).

You officially need permits from both police forces, though it practice as far as we could tell, they're only checked on the Montenegro side (there's a police post at the summit, not at the border itself).

Our papers weren't checked at all; we descended as the police car was going up to the police post)
