I used to live close to Gloucestert when the Fred West "episode" was at its worst. I was working with the wife of one of the leading detectives in that case.

Some weeks later I was asked by someone to pick up a pair of boots from the Cobbler's in Gloucester, which just happened to be round the corner from Fred West's (now demolished) home.
