They are very good tyres. Take a while to get up to speed but once rolling are pretty quick. They grip is very good in the wet too.

Just to offer a counterpoint: they seemed to change to a grippier make-up a few years ago and then they gripped a little too well for me, holding debris on the tyre long enough for the road to hammer it through. I also stopped buying Specialized because of Roubaix and a few other things... but I may fit my last Armadillo to a bike for this winter when I get a round tuit, just because it grips well and is better than the tyre currently on one of my bikes.
I'm usually on 26x1.5 as I have some sketchy streets on my commute, sometimes 700x28 if I get out the Technium for speed, or 650A on the Raleigh Sports for the charm factor inherent therein.

Thanks man - being over 100kg myself I'm not too worried about the weight lol! But puncture protection and grip (here in always wet Dublin) is a big importance!
