I wonder if you now spend more time with your mechanical children than you did with your human children (if you had some). There is something about mums doing most of the childcare in the past and probably still now, but I reckon it is getting better on that front.

I find that - assuming I take the tablets - I don;t suffer much when riding
even when riding through the countryside which must be chock full of pollen and stuff

but when I get home and stop - then shortly after my eyes start itching and stinging like mad

On my wife's advise I srated rinsing my face and eys very thoroughly with warm water when this happens

which works for me

the theory is that the pollen gathers around the eyes etc - but the amount is so great that the body's systems are totally overwhelmed and shoot down
Hence not causing the problems
Then you get home and the onslaught stops so the over reactions start off on full throttle


not sure this has any more evidence behind it that broccoli - sorry organic broccoli - but it works for me which os good enough for me


my wife does have an annpying habit of coming up with weird old wives tales
which turn out to work even through the "science" behind it is dodgy

There were several baskets of Wipes of various descriptions, including one where the packs were labelled " Hayfever Wipes". Wondering what magic ingredients they contained I picked up one to read the label only to notice that they were identical to the others with the blurb saying that the action of wiping them around your eyes and nose would remove pollen from your face.

There were several baskets of Wipes of various descriptions, including one where the packs were labelled " Hayfever Wipes". Wondering what magic ingredients they contained I picked up one to read the label only to notice that they were identical to the others with the blurb saying that the action of wiping them around your eyes and nose would remove pollen from your face.

I know that library, it is a tedious one. Now try read general face creams, moisurisers, revitalisers, neck cream, ear cream, nose cream, hand cream, foot cream and all the other wonder creams and you'll make a similar discovery. Ditto for household cleaning spray. Hob spray, shower spray, inside cupboard spray, outside cupboard spary, stainless steel spray, etc etc etc.

Pack price was 1p cheaper than standard wipes, but fewer in the pack making them 3 times the price per wipe.

I have no human children and what I do with my spare time is entirely my own business.
