A VW camper spotted on a driveway this morning along with a newer G Wagon.

A classic era Landcruiser. I rather like these as they are proper farmers' vehicles rather than Chelsea Tractors

And in the same car park the equivalent Landy in equally nice condition
, a series 2a I think

I met someone once who lived on Anglesey and commuted to Liverpool in one of them every day - about that vintage from what I remember

I presume he had plenty of time to spare!

Junction of Nellie Spindler Way & Ferry Lane
Stanley
Wakefield

The time is wrong, l didn’t realise it was on ‘manual set’

I’ve never seen that Stag around here before

I approached the junction from the right, in this photograph

A bloke at work selected a Belmont as his company car. Derision followed.

My dad had a Belmont and I thought it pretty good. Basically it's an astra but with a boot. To be honest it's one of only two genuinely decent cars he ever had, the other being the Mk2 Cortina which eventually came my way. Like the Astra it's based on it was great to drive, just like Astra van we had as our works van a few years later. The 1300 van went pretty well, and more importantly handled sufficiently well that us hooligan lads somehow managed not to crash it, and my Dad's 1600 Belmont went like a rocket by the standards of what I was used to (a 68 Cortina)

The mk1 was the Derby. The mk2, such as this, was the Polo, Polo Classic, or Polo Coupe, and later in the production run the Classic became the Saloon.

Nice to seem that one hasn't been slammed and fitted with banded wheels and ridiculous coco-the-clown stretched rubber.

It must be in regular daily use as I have spotted it on most of my daily hospital visits
