I used to car share with a guy who had a similar one. Every now and then it would do a sort of automotive Gallic shrug and random stuff like the wipers or interior fan would stop working. On his last day working with us the starter motor pinion jammed on our way home and we had to bump it free in the car park before we could leave.

I used to have one of those!
A neighbour had a black Opel Ascona 130 which was really the same thing. It was a very impressive piece of kit at the time.
