Every high street has a pubic toilet maintained by the local council. They are named as a result of the short and curlies evident in the urinals.

Our prehistoric ancestors used to travel great distances on the backs of large birds, that could also swim.

One initial drawback was the irritation to the caveman's nostrils caused by the plumage, which made them sneeze.

As the birds flew at over 100mph, it caused a loss of vision due to catching up with the projectile, which hit the caveman in the face.

Eventually man evolved the habit of tipping the head forward during the sneeze, which has been retained by modern man.

This action is how this type of bird came to be called a 'duck'.

Cavemen died out following the property market crash of 80,000 BC. With wages as they were and the price caves escalating few could afford a cave of their own.

Until then houses has been used as garden sheds by the cavemen, butnout financial necessity the houses began to be used as abodes, and the French race was born. Sadly they have evolved little since chocolate, wine, shrugging and blockading were invented in 79,999 BC.

Traditional kilts were not made from cloth, but from the bodies of old tartan pattern thermos flasks hammered flat and riveted together.

The cup could still be used to enjoy beverages, and the stopper could be used to prevent diarrhoea spillages.

Our ancient ancestors would be terrible confused at our use of language, as some words now are understood to mean the exact opposite of what they were originally used for.

One example is monopoly, which now refers to a single enterprise running all operations, when originally it meant the exact opposite hence the root of the word mono = One poly = many Therefore one for the many, and was used like the three musketeers motto, all for one, and one for all.

The original word for what we understand a monopoly to be has now transformed into a totally different understanding, and was related to what we would now call fat cats. The original word being rolypoly.
