Nothing planned here for New Year's eve but having lunch at another daughter on New Year's day. Mrs G will probably be in bed by 10 pm.

Did you see anything interesting through ladies bedroom windows in your cleaning days?
Flashback time...

I posted this in another thread. A former window cleaner told me that he had seen things on his round that he shouldn't have seen...

What I will say though, is that in the most extreme example (which I absolutely will NOT detail, so don't ask!!], he was spotted doing the spotting by the spottee, and almost fell off his ladder as he beat a hasty retreat! Weeks later, he found himself at a bus stop and made eye contact with someone in the queue. They both had a "Don't I know you from somewhere?" feeling, but then he remembered where, flushed violently, and fled!

I'll be making my way through what's left in the box of Williams Bros beer that arrived before Christmas, and keeping the dog calm when all the noise starts later on.

When did fireworks first become popular at new year, is it another creeping Americanism as I don't remember them when I was a kid?

Just checked, the Micro Pub is only open to ticket holders from 7pm. May have gone around 4pm for a beer, whilst we ordered Thai take away (next door) then gone home, so that's out of the door. Need to jet wash the decking if we plan watching fireworks from out back garden - we've views over Cheshire and Manchester - it's a bit slippy currently.

I hope you have cover in your garden or some good wet weather gear.

Probably sitting at home on my own. It's just another night.

Apparently, there is a high possibility of seeing the Northern Lights here tomorrow night so if it's a really clear night, I . might actually takes a drive out to the a really remote place away from streetlights.

Back on the road New Years day, 6500 mile challenge begins, so early night hogmanny.

I'm sure there is a famous cycling song about it,
10 days off the road and I'm going to make it back tomorrow
my bikes a little old and it does mean its slow
I've been passed by everything in sight
and if you think i'm happy you're right
Well, I'm a little overweight, and my strava is way behind
10 days off the road and I'm going to make it back tomorrow

this is my last night of booze drugs and debauchery this xmas - (and there is not much of the last two )

I smelt many things! Then saw the cause of the smell as I reached the opened wide bedroom window!
