Only just noticed this thread so I'll say hi even though I've already made a few posts now!
I live in Liverpool, name is Neil. Have always enjoyed cycling, but only for fun, nothing serious. I'm now planning on cycling my 15 mile E.W. commute to work..That sounds very serious!

Hi

Not my first post, but only my third here so I don't think it's too late :-)

I live in Newark-on-Trent, name is Colin. I work as a sales manager, so use my car far more than I like for getting around the whole of the Midlands and North of England for work. Everything else I try to do by bike - shopping, trips to Post Office and Bank when working from my home office, pleasure rides. I really wish I had the type of job where I was at one location and could cycle commute. Currently ride a Reflex Eclipse Hybrid, which I've added a few things to - front lowriders for those big shopping trips when rear panniers aren't enough - B&M dynamo lights (although only bottle rather than hub), Shimano Deore rear mech to replace the Tourney that quickly broke, Schwalbe Landcruiser tyres, biped kickstand, etc. Now putting finishing touches to a Raleigh Pulsar that I bought on eBay, for doing longer rides and tours.

Hello from another Essex cyclists

Hello all, I`ve been a cyclists for over 30 years and for the past 20 years I`ve been cycling with my local CTC Group: http://www.haveringctc.btik.com
I use to do a lot of touring, but with so many YHA Hostel`s closing down these days my touring as come to a stop.
My cycles are: Rory O`Brien (touring) which is around 23 years old, a 20 year old Raleigh used mainly for short rides and roughstuff, and my latest a 12 month old Claud Butler Dalesman.

Hi from Whickham next to the Metrocentre

Hi everyone I'm looking for a bike and need some advice. I'm planning to use it to cycle to work which is about 10 miles away so it would mainly be for the roads and or cycle routes & maybe the occasional off road stuff!
My budget is up to £600 but haven't got a clue what's good or bad
I think I would need a 20.5 inch frame as I'm 6ft 2 & my girlfriend says I look too big for a smaller frame.
Can anybody help?

Here for rides.
jolly bad form I know as this is my 113 post.

I'm Greg Collins, 49, from Horsham in West Sussex and I'm told I can be a bit grumpy at times - though not when I'm on any of my bikes.

big fan of FNRttC when I can get the time to do them, one time MTB nut about to become a born again MTB nut via bike2work scheme, regular cycle commuter until it gets dark in the mornings and evenings, only cyclist in the family, etc., etc..

Hi all, I'm doing this properly so my first post is in here although I have been lurking for a few days and its been a great source of information so far.

My name is Bev and, as you can probably tell from my user name, I live in Liverpool.

I haven't riden a bike in about 30 years but my fella wants to do the TPT so I stupidly agreed to join him. New bike and only one spin out on it later and I have a sore backside and regret those foolish words. Still I won't be beaten so its back in the saddle tonight and every night til I'm fit enough to take it on.
