Hello,

Just joined Motorpoint and part of my job is to keep in touch with the pro-cycling team.

Seems nice and friendly on here so I thought I'd join.

Hi, you gonna be at the Revolution meet next Saturday...I'll shout hello from the stand if you are

I don't think I will unfortunately, not me personally anyway. It's one of those things I'd love to get to watch at some point. I bet you're looking forward to it

Hello all, my name's Rob, I'm 30 years old and am a keen but inexperienced cyclist. I'm made up to have joined your forum.

I would like to meet fellow cyclists/join rides or clubs or just benefit from the site. I live on the Kent coast near Dover and have cycled through Flanders to Zeeland NL twice since August. My next wish is to cycle from Dover to Cornwall before mid February (accommodation and entertainments in Portsmouth at my brother's house). Any links to groups/clubs or anyone who fancies the proposed ride - please please me! (beatles fan)

Hello all, new member here. got the cycling bug April 10 after being a follower of Le Tour for many years. woke up one day and thought i'm going to buy a bike and went down my local cycle shop and bought a road bike. after nearly killing myself doing just 10 miles on my first ride out, i'm now much fitter and faster and have roped in other mates who have also caught the bug. my only regret is that i didn't start years earlier. anyway hello everyone

Hi, and Welcome to CC.

You're in good company if you're looking for peeps who've been bit bye the cycling bug - it's scarey how it creeps up on you and you find yourself wanting to go out and ride at odd times ...

Even better if you've got other people to cycle with - always a pleasure.

Now you've dipped your toe and said hello, have wander into the other forums and say hello some more. It's easy - give the Cafe a try, lots of friendly people in there (and a couple of shady characters too ... lol).

Cheers,
Shaun

Hi,

I am new to this forum and cycling. On 4th January I decided to sell my car so we have one family car. I now cycle to work every day with my daughter in a child seat. It's 4 1/2 miles each way so I do 9 miles a day.

I have borrowed a friends bike to 'try it out' before I splash out, I must say it's addictive!

I am now waiting for my new bike to commute which should be ready in about a week.

I have ordered a specialized Ariel 2011 with disk brakes and the co-pilot child seat.

Here's to a healthy future! To be honest I was sick of being stuck in traffic every day
