Hi I'm from Stirling. Just bought my first bike (it's not even ready yet) for rehab after an accident and to get fit.

Belated  from your neighbouring town.

Cycling will be perfect for your rehab.

........and WELCOME to the forum all other newbies!

Hi. I'm Ken, must be close to 20 years since I was last on a bike and I can't believe I'm off to collect my new bike tomorrow. The intention is to get fit enough to cycle to work (however I might just start with the 2-3 miles to the park and ride to begin with).

I hope to pick up some much needed knowledge.

Ken

Hi Ken

Welcome to the forum

That's where I started, going to the park and back, it's all I could do. Do it regularly and your fitness will return and your stamina will increase. Good luck.

Been looking for road sport bike for around the £250 mark but not having much luck . Spotted that argos have a raleigh ace 700c but really not sure if i should spend my money on it so any advise would be greatfully welcome . Im 35 live at newcastle .

hello shaun, my sincere apologies already posted before saying hello, 50 now, but just started getting into cycling, hope to gain a lot of info from your site, 2010 will be a year when my wife and i will be looking for our quality cycles, we already hill walk on a weekly basis, but want to get into mountain biking, especially the winter months, very enjoyable site

Thank You For Welcome,Hello to you all out there, from an OLD SOD.As of todays date(07-12-2009) I am 64yrs 12wks old, I am still daft enough to risk my life on a bike, ain't it nice when you arrive home safe & sound. My new metal knee is now working well and getting easier every trip out on the Little Italian.I can even manage the bumpy bits around Dalton,Parbold,Shevington and the areas of West Lancashire that have the occassional surprise around the corner.I still ride Traditional Vittoria Shoes & (nail on) Plates ,Marcel Berthet Lyotard platform pedals and Christophe Toe Clips with Straps,I could not get my head around Clipless & Cleats to save my life(That could be why I am still alive!!!!!!!!!).Safe & Happy Riding to You All

Hi everyone. I plan to start cycling again in the new year I'm hoping to pick up a old XC bike for under £200 for starters, I may look into something more interesting as my fitness a skill level progresses.
