Hello,

So you've signed-up, got your user account, now all you need to do is get posting .... ah, um, er, What do I say?

Well, it's dead easy - just say Hello and tell us a little bit about yourself and whereabouts you're from (so we can invite you along to rides!!)

Believe me, once you get that first post under your belt you'll be off!

My name's Shaun by the way, and I own and operate CycleChat.

If you need any help or advice on using the forums, or want to ask a question but don't want to do it publicly - just send me a PM (private message).

Hope you enjoy, and welcome to CycleChat

Cheers,

Hi, I'm Charlie from E Sussex, recently become an owner of a Peugeot Comete which I'm trying to refurb for my daughter (sadly too small for me).
I'm looking for advice about a fix for the missing seat post clamp bolt and hoping your platform might be forthcoming. Yellow jersey.com from Wisconsin have been helpful but don't have the part I need.
Any ideas?

Hello there I'm new so as way of introduction I am a;
X2.5 bike owner.
An all weather commuter.
Hater of the non-indicator no matter how many wheels they have.
Lover of the hills. The up bits not the downs.
Cyclist who would like to learn to drive just to find out what the fuss is about but suspects that he would find moving while not moving a weird sensation. Which is the reason he's bad at driving computer games.

Thx shaun for the welcome message & Hi everyone :hello:

I'm justiffa from malaysia and hv been scouting round for a place to hang out, exchange cycling stories and pick up tips to improve in the process. been to a couple of places but what got me here is the claim of being 'fun & friendly' bcos fun & friendly is certainly what i need lol.

I'm new to this forum thingy & sometimes language might also get in the way, so pls be patient with me if i accidentally tread on a few toes before getting the hang of it ok

See u on the boards xxx

tony

Well I suppose 50 is relatively new

My names Kev and together with a dedicated bunch we are the Bus Stop Bikers from Blackburn Lancashire.

Love chatting about anything cycle related. We have our own website aimed at promoting family cycling and I'm not sure if it's ok to post my website address yet being a newbie so will leave that for now.

Hi all,
Just looking at getting a bike again after some 40 plus years! Things seem to have changed quite a bit on the gear side since my road racing days - funny new fangled pedals and some kind of "metric" system for working out the right frame size! ^_^ ... But gradually getting up to speed on that, along with tyres in mm. And I see a few familiar names are still around - Campagnolo, Dawes and Claud Butler.
I'll just be pottering around rather than racing, so looking for a modern road style bike that can accommodate some mudguards and say 25 - 28mm tyres - oh and in a 48 - 50 cm size. So any suggestions here would be welcome. I am having difficulty locally here in Cornwall in even getting much selection in these small sizes.

Peter

Hi,
Recently started cycling again after many years. I live in between Mow Cop and Gun Hill, on the Cheshire / Staffordshire border, so not many flat roads around here, which can be a pain. However it can also be a good thing for training purposes. I have not tried to climb either Mow Cop or Gun Hill yet but maybe one day!!!!!

Hello all.

Have been commuting for 2 years. Just gone past 5000miles for this year that was my target. Have just built a old Raleigh Winner into a single speed for winter commute.
