Stonehaven is lovely, Dunotter castle is amazing. Havent been for a couple of years though.

Dont have any means to transport bikes just now so can only do very local cycles which is fine at the minute but do plan on getting something for car, probably roof bars.

Hello,

So you've signed-up, got your user account, now all you need to do is get posting .... ah, um, er, What do I say?

Well, it's dead easy - just say Hello and tell us a little bit about yourself and whereabouts you're from (so we can invite you along to rides!!)

Believe me, once you get that first post under your belt you'll be off!

My name's Shaun by the way, and I own and operate CycleChat.

If you need any help or advice on using the forums, or want to ask a question but don't want to do it publicly - just send me a PM (private message).

Hope you enjoy, and welcome to CycleChat

Cheers,
Shaun

Hello. I have just registered. My name is Nick and I live in Cumbria in the shadow of the Penines. I presently have two lovely bikes, one a full carbon Cannondale Six and a recently purchase steel Holdsworth which I have yet to get on the road.

Weather has not been too good recently and I work away from home most of the time so the chances to get out are few but hopefully this weekend will be ok.

That was easy.

Hello
My name is Richard but known as Uncle Ricky (long story) and I live just outside Portsmouth which is where I was born. I am a senior citizen and have been cycling on and off for over 50 years. My wife and I are now retired and spend as much time as possible in our T4 campervan traveling the UK to find routes to cycle and National Trust Houses to visit. We have just returned from Teversel in the East Midlands where our campsite was opposite The Silverhill Trail. We spent many an hour exploring the trails in the area as well as those in Clumber Park.
I joined this Forum so that hopefully I can keep up to date not only with the latest news but to find recommendations on places to cycle.
Looking forward to receiving your messages.

Uncle Ricky

Hello everyone, my name is Dob (not in any way a reference to Harry bloody Potter, I was around before that speckled git) I am from Tasmania but am about to leave from London on my first tour all over Europe for the next six months. Hoping to meet some interesting people, see and do some interesting things and eventually be able to give something back to the cycling community whether online or in person.

Hi
I have just joined the cycle chat forum. I am 44 and have been cycling for about 4 years now. I enjoy road rides of 15-50miles, depending on weather and energy levels! Looking for new routes in and around Essex, and bike buddies to ride with.

Hello. I'm Simon from North East Derbyshire, right on the edge of the Peak District. I've been cycling for 12 years now, but have had patella tendinitis (not caused by cycling) in both knees so was off the bike for quite a while. I eased myself back in last year and fingers crossed, touch wood etc., the knees are good. I'm currently trying to shift a few more pounds in a probably fruitless attempt to make some of the Peak District climbs a little easier.

Hi I'm Zoe, my partner shortone told me about this place. I have been cycling a year, started on a mountain bike which I completed night rider on .... 100km round London at night in 7 hours. I've now got a trek slx wsd and I love it! Training for a 195 mile ride in September from preseli mountains to Stonehenge over 3 days. Training is a mix of social steady group, short solo rides and longer rides with shortone pushing me "gently" up hills lol. I'm 34 and mum of 2 plus step daughter so mostly early morning rides
