Gavin, you are indeed correct. When I went in it was only missing bar tape and chain. Yes I think it will serve me well for a good while...at least until I get a new itch.
As for my money management skills
. The price of the bike actually ended up being a little dearer than planned. Neil had forgot that I was on the cyclesheme thingy, which takes 10% off him. So he had to add a bit on top of the £870 figure. To his credit he split the difference and the rest was on pedals and mudguards. That leaves me £50 to spend on other bits (up to the £1000 maximum). That will probably get spent when I pick the bike up. There is the bottle holder, and a new lock to think of....hmmm £50....
