British Cycling Membership givin 15% off this month as far as i am aware and so at 850 that bike is a steal as it will never have seen daylight.

I am biased as i have one!

As I previously said, it depends which Halfords you go to. I have ridden Boardman bikes around the car park of the Aylesbury branch and seen the same at the Andover branch. Display models were used for this.

Cant wait to get it tomorrow - hopefully wont take too long to get used to a road bike compared to a hybrid??

Rustybucket, i love it, it is very very quick when you power on and i think it looks great! I am a newbie road cyclist of 12 weeks but exhaustive research led me to believe it was great value at £1k and compares well to £1.5k bikes. i have to admit though it was how it looked that first made me get one but other than sticking a larger cassette on it for hills, i have been totally happy with it!

Vickster - you may be right there but its worth a go, it says it excludes GPS but i got 15% off a Bryton when i put the code in.

I would not be bothered either. If it has been ridden round the car park a few times, at least they might have set it up properly. Great bike, good price, what is not to like, enjoy. Post up some pics when you have it

Got It!!! £200 off / free accessories. Not a bad deal. Wow its taking abit of getting used to as im used to the hybrid. Breaks arent as responsive and harder to pull, but alot lighter and quicker. BIG ride tomorrow!
