Ooof whose idea was it to give me a day off today! It was my wife's college graduation (associate's degree) she is going for her bachelor's next. Pretty sure I'm going to be in the dog house! She mentioned that I didn't even get her flowers 😕.
Bad relationship behavior on my part and bad financial decisions aside...
I picked up some new wheels today! I planned on going in and MAYBE putting in an order for a Domane AL5. For "only" 500 more than I was already planning on spending they had a Damane SL5 (gen3) on sale for $2499. The carbon fiber frame along with the better colorways is what sold me.
I've only been cycling going on two months. Worked my way up to 2 hours or about 22 miles on my hybrid bike and had been watching a lot of road cycling videos (thanks GCN!). So it was only a matter of time. I do have a just a tad bit of am addictive personality, in case you couldn't tell /s.
Did a short 6 mile ride (it was 95F and sunny 🌞), plan to log some more miles tomorrow.
Anyway, here she is.
